The Black Arrow is, without a doubt, one of my all time favorite books, just as Robert Louis Stevenson is one of my all time favorite authors. I find it hard to believe that The Black Arrow is probably the least well know of his great adventure novels (the others being, of course, Treasure Island and Kidnapped), as it is certainly the best as far as I am concerned. Having read all three Elizabeth Strout novels, I’d place Olive Kitteridge behind the other two. Do not get me wrong, Strout is still an exceptional writer, weaving you into each chapter and describing things beautifully. You know that feeling when you’re just starting a book? Getting acquainted with the characters?

To hear of a book, or in this case a Kindle book authored by Gina Buonaguro and Janice Kirk, you instantly know this is going to be a wonderful read, and Falling for Rain delights. You see, I first found out about the duo when I purchased The Sidewalk Artist, which is one of my all time favorite books.
